Field Techniques in the Geosciences

Catalog description

Instruction in the fundamental methods of field work in the geosciences and environmental sciences. Students will learn to use compasses, maps, and other important geological and environmental field equipment, describe and map basic geologic features and structures, and maintain a field notebook. Most of the course will be conducted in the field.
