Catalog description

This course will build upon skills learned in DANC 3000 Choreography I. Students hone compositional skills for making dances while also learning about how to use costume and lighting design elements for stage. Students continue to explore techniques for generating unique movement material and explore how to craft movement phrases to express thoughts, emotions, stories, themes and abstract ideas. Students learn about and hold a dance audition, lead rehearsals, participate in choreographic collaboration, give and receive critical feedback on choreography, make changes, edits and evolve choreography based on critical feedback and ultimately complete a choreographic dance work for the stage.
