Catalog description

This course explores the cannabis industry through the eyes of the entrepreneur. As a heavily regulated industry, understanding laws and regulations are paramount to a successful career in the cannabis industry. Starting with a solid legal background, students will understand why cannabis is still federally illegal, the risks of traveling with cannabis, and understand the difference between legalization and decriminalization. Students will learn to read and correctly cite regulations, determine what is required to start a licensed cannabis business, including the completion of a mock license application.
