Installation and Public Art

Catalog description

In this studio art course, you will impact campus through your design, creation, and installation of small and large installation and public artworks. After being introduced to the work of installation and public art artists, you will learn to intentionally choose materials and physical sites to engage the public with your artwork. A variety of materials and processes will be taught. Although curiosity, determination, patience, and openness to new materials and processes are essential in this course, you do not need to have taken a previous studio art course to be successful.
