Reading and Vocabulary Level 4: High Intermediate

Catalog description

This course refines students’ application of critical reading skills and vocabulary strategies that aid in comprehension of high-intermediate texts. Students will identify main ideas and supporting details to understand text structures. Students will apply critical thinking skills to make inferences and evaluate arguments. Students will also annotate and summarize texts and will apply note-taking strategies to high-intermediate level texts. Offered fall, spring and summer. Prerequisite: 2.50 semester GPA in Level 3 or equivalent.
