Catalog description

This intermediate-level course aims to improve students’ application of reading and vocabulary strategies that aid in comprehension of intermediate to high-intermediate level texts. These skills include skimming, scanning, predicting content, identifying main ideas and supporting details, recognizing patterns of organization, annotating and note-taking, and applying critical reading and thinking skills.
