Catalog description
This course provides advanced theory and application of the standards and procedures used by independent certified public accountants to examine and evaluate business data and render an opinion on financial statements. Students critically analyze audit risk, assess audit evidence, and apply professional judgment in complex and ambiguous settings. The course further examines the duties, responsibilities, legal liability, and ethical obligations of the auditor (CPA).
