Holy Spirit in Scripture

Catalog description

A survey of the teachings of Sacred Scripture on the Holy Spirit from historical, literary, canonical, and theological perspectives. The course will provide an understanding of the diversity and unity of the Biblical witness to the Spirit across the Hebrew Scriptures and the New Testament. Students will gain practice in theological and spiritual reflection on scriptural passages that illuminate the person and work of the Spirit. The course will introduce students to the biblical foundations for charismatic renewal.
