Instructional Strategies

Catalog description

This course will explore instructional strategies for many of the content areas in psychology. Research on active learning assignments for these content areas will be explored. Sample content areas include research methods & statistics, developmental psychology, social psychology, physiological psychology, learning & cognition, and personality theory. Students will also develop their own instructional materials and examine different types of technology that can be used in psychology courses. Students will create a sample syllabus and teaching philosophy.
