Catalog description
This course examines the systems, tools, and leadership practices that drive assessment, accountability, and data-informed decision-making in organizations. The course emphasizes how organizations use AI and analytics to evaluate overall performance and effectiveness. Students explore frameworks for designing meaningful assessment plans, interpreting quantitative and qualitative data, and aligning evidence with strategic priorities. Through case studies students learn to evaluate institutional performance indicators, identify performance gaps, and use data dashboards, predictive analytics, and reporting tools to support continuous improvement. Students will also be taught how to be good consumers of research so that they can review research results and identify possible solutions to problems identified from the data analytics processes within their organizations. This course also addresses Florida Educational Leadership standard 4, Student Learning and Continuous School Improvement for those students in K-12 organizations.
