Catalog description

This course provides a comprehensive introduction to qualitative research design, data collection, and analysis. Students will examine a range of qualitative methodologies and data collection strategies, including emerging digital data sources. Emphasis is placed on developing qualitative research questions, aligning methodology with purpose, and applying systematic approaches to coding, thematic development, and interpretation. The course prepares students to conduct original qualitative research using multiple data collection approaches. This allows students to concentrate on developing analytic depth, coding proficiency, and interpretive rigor.
