Behavioral medicine is the application of behavioral health techniques to the prevention and treatment of health conditions and illness. Topics covered will include assessment and intervention strategies in healthcare settings, psychologist’s role in affecting lifestyle changes (e.g., smoking, obesity), and psychological interventions for medical and psychophysiological disorders (e.g., cardiovascular, cancer, chronic illnesses).
