Catalog description

This is an advanced career-focused seminar course for students interested in the field of biotechnologies and pharmaceutical sciences and cell gene therapy. Students should take this course in their second year undergraduate studies. This undergraduate seminar focuses on drug discovery and development. Students will research a given field of pharmaceutical interest, connect with alumnis and SJU professors to discuss and learn about the field of pharmaceutical sciences and learn about opportunities, jobs and internship search and applications. Students will research, present and attend presentations every week and engage in networking opportunities early on in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences. In this more advanced course students are expected to develop mentoring skills and become more independent in their research.
