Ethics in Health Care

Catalog description
This course aims to equip students with tools to evaluate various issues that arise in health care from an ethical point of view. In this course, students will come to understand the main ethical theories and principles that guide health care ethics today. Students will then apply this knowledge to particular areas of health care, through the use of case studies and other engaged learning techniques. The goal of the course is to help students develop their ability to think critically about the ethical character of various situations that might arise during the course of their work, so that they are better able to be effective health care providers.
