This graduate-level course builds on foundational knowledge in geriatric care, focusing on the complexities of managing acute and chronic conditions in elderly patients across various care settings. The course explores the multifaceted aspects of geriatric medicine, including the management of acute illnesses, the challenges of long-term care, pain management, preventive strategies, and social issues that affect the elderly population.
