Beginning French I

Catalog description

Proficiency-based instruction will encourage the development of speaking, reading, writing and listening comprehension. Instruction of basic grammar and pronunciation will accompany active student participation in task-oriented group work in the classroom. This course is aimed at developing the novice low/mid-level according to ACTFL - American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages. This course is reserved for beginning students with no experience with the French language. Fulfills the non-native language requirement.
