Catalog description

A course in which students will learn how basic cell and molecular biology are used to develop products for biomedical, agricultural and industrial applications. The course will also cover fundamental and emerging techniques in the biotechnology field. The lab section will focus on the steps involved in the production and purification of recombinant proteins expressed in bacterial cells. Students who register for BIO 624 must also register for a BIO 624L lab section.
