Study of the blood and blood-forming tissues with emphasis on the cellular morphology and hematopoietic mechanisms of the red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. Also covers a wide variety of clinical disorders, particularly those involving abnormally formed cellular elements and coagulation. Students who register for BIO 418 must also register for a BIO 418 lab section. For example, if you register for BIO 418 you must, at the same time, register for a section of BIO 418L .
