Catalog description

Introduction to the structure and function of the vertebrate nervous system. Major topics will include neuronal function, sensory and motor systems, behavior, and higher mental processes. Laboratory work will include hands-on experience of several neurobiological techniques to measure molecular and biochemical changes in a mouse brain. Two 50-minute lecture periods, and two 2-hour laboratory periods ( BIO 412L ).
