Catalog description

Principles of radiation protection, radiation protection responsibilities of the radiographer for patients, personnel, and the public. Concepts of As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA), Negligible Individual Risk Level (NIRL) and stochastic and non-stochastic effects are discussed. Regulatory agencies are identified and agency involvement in radiation protection are discussed. Requirement: acceptance into the clinical phase of program.
