Catalog description
The Statistics Lab is a support course for MTH 230 - Introduction to Statistics. It provides students with additional instruction to improve their algebraic skills and bolster their learning of statistics in the college course. Topics include: fundamentals of algebra and arithmetic, solving multivariate equations, calculator use, and probability. Students work together and support collaborative learning though a series of modules that are separate from those in the college course. This lab is optional unless otherwise indicated by the math placement process. Students who enroll in MTH 230 should consult their advisor or the college registrar when they register to determine if this is required.
