A broad overview of the American criminal justice system. Deals with the examination of criminals, victims, and the society in which they live. Emphasis is given to the criminal justice process, law enforcement, adjudication, post-conviction strategies, and juvenile justice. Also examines the entire spectrum of criminal justice and its components, from crime causation and police involvement to the trial process and corrections. Also listed as SOC 19.
