Catalog description

The study of business-related torts, common law, contracts, and real and personal property, with an emphasis on assessing legal risks and rights as they pertain to hotels, restaurants, resorts and associated businesses. The course includes: an overview of the U.S. judicial system, the Constitution, the duties of innkeepers, and food and beverage liability including state and federal regulations, court decisions, and legislative requirements impacting hospitality operations.
