Catalog description

This course introduces flux-cored arc welding (FCAW) equipment, materials, and processes. Topics include various types of flux-cored wires, their properties and proper selection, FCAW welding equipment design and usage, equipment setup, metal properties, safety, and familiarity with the most basic types of welds commonly associated with flux-cored welding. Upon completion, students should be able to safely perform FCAW welds in various positions utilizing FCAW equipment and flux-cored wire.
