Catalog description

This course focuses on teaching methodology, arts integration, co-teaching strategies, program design and implementation, and student and program assessment. This course covers creative methods of teaching, planning, preparing, and implementing effective studio practice strategies and rehearsal methods for theatre/dance students. Students will examine diverse learning methods and studies to activate new approaches to teaching performance and creativity. Students will work with research-based components of instruction including the four domains of teaching responsibility: Planning and Preparation, Classroom Environment, Instruction and Professional Responsibilities.
