Thinking Like a Producer

Catalog description

This course offers students means to create a personal road-map toward founding their own ensembles and/or companies. Coursework explores resources that help students produce their own work and to and put their artistic asperations into action. Students will write personal Mission and Vision Statements and, in teams, will complete grant-writing and marketing projects. There will also be focus on budgeting and touring, production management, contracts and legal issues such as performance rights and copyrights.
