Creative work is revisited at key moments during the term of the course. Emphasis will be placed on finishing pieces. Creation is still led by the students who work collaboratively in response to assignments and show the finished results of the work on Fridays for faculty evaluation and feedback. The course is meant to provide the students an opportunity to wrestle with the question of how to construct a vibrant, engaging piece of theater in a collaborative ensemble. The journey of Creation II is a journey toward opening up theatrical possibilities, exploring the breadth of theatrical expression and style and ultimately toward helping students create their own provocations and inquires, process of creation, and methods for self-evaluation and feedback. In this way the course is a preparation for creating original work after they have completed their degree. The course will culminate in public performances of works created during the course of the year.
