Catalog description

This course introduces students to the knowledge and skill needed to be effective leaders in the nutrition and/or dietetics profession. Students will explore a variety of career opportunities in nutrition and dietetics professions. During the course, students will complete one professional site visit with assigned preceptor. Information on credentialing opportunities in the profession will be presented in this course. Course will also detail how students can get on path towards becoming a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist. Course work includes learning about the scope of practice, professional code of ethics and interdisciplinary roles of the profession.
