Catalog description

Students explore contemporary and traditional jazz styles by listening to and analyzing the music of masters such as Chick Corea, Miles Davis, Duke Ellington, Sammy Nestico along with songs from the be-bop, hard-bop and cool eras. Students compose scores in this style for performance in class and in Department of Music jazz concerts.
