Principles of Epidemiology

Catalog description

This course teaches principles of epidemiology as it relates to One Health. Topics covered include causal concepts, patterns of disease, the epidemiologic triad, measures of disease frequency, measures of association and effect, epidemiologic study designs, outbreak investigations, disease monitoring and surveillance, risk analysis among others. For each topic, real-world examples at the intersection of animal, human, and ecosystem health are provided.
