Catalog description
This course covers the concepts, principles, and tools of business intelligence (BI) as a component and function of information systems. It explores how to effectively solve business problems by using operational data to create a data warehouse (DW) to gain new insights into an organization's operations. More specifically, it introduces methods, roles and responsibilities in data warehouse design and implementation, and the application of data visualization. This course provides hands-on experience implementing reporting solutions through assignments, lab exercises and projects, culminating in visual business intelligence to support business decision-making.
