Seminar in Geology

Catalog description

The course is focused on teaching students how to critically evaluate scientific papers or current research endeavors to effectively articulate in writing and through oral presentation using precise language founded in science the content of papers. Students will be given various homework assignments that include but are not limited to discussion on papers or on other student presentations. This is a required course that all first year PhD students in Geology.
