Catalog description

This course introduces students to the fundamentals of large learning models, focusing on the concepts and techniques used in machine learning and artificial intelligence. Students will learn about the basic structure of large models, such as deep learning and neural networks, and how these models are applied in areas like language processing, image recognition, and decision-making.  It will provide an accessible overview of key topics, including how large models are trained, the challenges of working with big data, and the tools and software used to build and run these models. While the course is designed for students with limited prior knowledge of machine learning, it will also explore how large models impact various industries and society, including discussions on ethical considerations and model fairness.
