Internship (Fall) in Counseling/Student Personnel Services is one part of the culminating field-based experiences for matriculated students taken during the final Fall semester of one's program. Students spend a minimum of 300 clock hours throughout this semester at their selected internship site for a maximum of 600 clock hours in one academic year. Students must also take Internship (Spring) during the final Spring semester to meet the 600 clock hour internship requirements and program degree requirements. Emphasis is placed upon gaining direct experiences and actually participating in all phases of student services. Internship students work under the direction of an on-site mentor, and a college-faculty supervisor. Internship students attend weekly/biweekly seminars and supervision on campus.
