Catalog description
Students explore the basic theories and concepts of interpersonal communication research and its application to their lives. The course covers topics that include perceptions and self-perceptions, social cognition, the relationship between culture and interpersonal communication, systems of communication, the influence of gender on communication, conflict, and other interpersonal communication contexts (i.e., family, friendship, romance).
