Catalog description
Biology I is the first course in the introductory sequence leading to the various majors offered by the Department of Biological and Biomedical Sciences. The course will provide an overview of fundamental concepts in genetics and molecular and cellular biology, including DNA structure and function, transcription and translation, cell structure, cellular metabolism, mitosis, and meiosis. Students will also begin an exploration of science inquiry through laboratory activities.
