Section information text: Discussion of fundamental heat and mass transfer principles: conduction, forced and free convection, radiation, and diffusion. Mathematical analysis and computation of heat transfer, mass transfer, temperature, and concentration profiles in systems with simple geometries. Finite difference equations. Estimation of local and overall heat and mass transfer coefficients.
