Catalog description

The purpose of this elective course is to incorporate community service into academic learning by exposing physical therapy (PT) students to the scope of health issues and rehabilitation needs of the medically uninsured and assisting them in findi ng solutions to resolving the problem. PT students will be mentored by licensed Physical Therapists and engage in the delivery of patient care at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions Foundation’s Community Rehabilitation Clinic (CRC). Students w ill gain first-hand insight and experience in participating in a clinic devoted to serving adults who are medically uninsured.
