Catalog description

This course is the fifth in a series designed to integrate the principles of professionalism, ethics, profession -specific issues, and the business of medicine, with the practice of medicine. This particular course occurs during the final didactic semester just prior to students engaging in the final two full -time supervised clinical practice experiences (SCPEs) semesters. The focus during this course is developing skills needed to become a lifelong learner through practice -based learning/self -improvement an d developing awareness of health policy and current trends/issues. There is a continued emphasis on professionalism as it applies to clinical practice.
