Medical Optics II

Catalog description

This course emphasizes the medical optics in ophthalmic patient care. Higher order aberrations and pupillary effects are discussed as well as the optical principles of correcting the refractive error by spectacles, contact lenses and ophthalmic surgery. Th e optics of clinical instruments is presented. Laboratory experiences will complement lecture by demonstration of optical principles in ophthalmic instruments.
