Catalog description

This course will familiarize students with the theory, development, and application of survey research design and methods. Students will learn the principles and practices of conducting survey research, including developing psychometrically sound accounti ng for and reducing sources of error, designing appropriate sampling strategies, assessing the reliability and validity of self -constructed questionnaires, administering surveys through various means, and analyzing and reporting survey research results. H ow to integrate qualitative inquiry with survey research to develop and conduct a mixed -method study, including writing results, will be emphasized. (prereq: HS 722)
