Catalog description

This course is designed for students who have a fairly strong background in the sport of tennis and are interested in taking their skills to the next level. There will be a brief review of tennis fundamentals and skills but class will move quickly to more advanced drills and competitions. Objectives of the course focus on: challenging game skills, review rules (singles and doubles), review etiquette, and attaining a high level of play that allows for competitive tournament play and matches. Students should have a strong background in tennis court layout, surfaces, scoring, equipment, and strong individual skills (forehand, backhand, serve, the volley, overheads) to easily enter class competitions. **Fee: A course fee applied via SFS bill.
