Catalog description
This course is designed to accommodate all ability levels. The fundamentals of diving will be covered early in the quarter. Students will progress to the next ability levels at their own pace and with the guidance of the instructor. The course objectives are: To teach basic diving safety, fundamentals of diving, to build skill level and develop confidence to as high a point as possible. Course content includes the following areas: Approach, take off, aerial positions, twists and entries. Students must be reasonably coordinated, with average strength and have a basic swimming competency (should be comfortable in deep water). *Note: Materials needed: Swim suit and towel.* **Fee: A course fee applied via SFS bill.
