Advanced Pocket Billiards

Advanced Pocket Billiards can be enjoyed by many of all ages who have had a background in basic pocket billiards and want to take their skills to the next level. The purpose of this course is to refine the pocket billiards fundamentals one already possesses and obtaining advanced billiards skills. Emphasis is placed on refining stance, grip, bridges, stroking and aiming and learning advanced techniques. . Additional topics that will be refined are: Stop shots, follow, draw, "English", position play, banks, caroms, combinations, eliminations, break shots and safety play. Games taught and played are: 8-Ball, 9-Ball, Straight (14.1) and Cutthroat. Each class period is divided into three segments: Lecture/demonstration/practice and play. This course also will have a competitive tournament to crown the Advanced Pocket Billiards Champion and prepare students for advanced tournament play outside of RIT. *NOTE: All equipment is provided by RIT and strong background experience is required.* **Fee: A course fee applied via SFS bill.
