Catalog description

Karate is a Japanese martial art that originated from self-defense. Training in karate will have benefits for physical health as well as mental health. It helps to build concentration, focus, character development, clear thinking and decisiveness. Karate also has strong internal benefits as well. It helps instill patience, discipline, perseverance, understanding and open-mindedness. It will build confidence, develop self-control, and courtesy. Training will include striking techniques with hands, feet, elbows, and knees, as well as blocking and grappling, to develop physical and mental discipline. No previous experience is needed for this course. **Fee: A course fee applies via SFS bill.
