Catalog description

Stand Up Paddleboarding is an activity that is relatively easy to learn, and provides a wide array of opportunity for leisure, fitness, and appreciation of the outdoors. This class will focus on the skills of Stand Up Paddleboarding, and the many leisure and fitness opportunities it affords. You can expect to learn all the basic skills necessary to enjoy this sport on any body of flat water. Each class will deal with components of each: equipment, technical skills and language, etiquette and safety. This class may meet both in the classroom and out on the water. Student should be able to swim and feel comfortable on and in the water. Proof of health insurance is required to take this course. *Note: See Course Notes for additional details on class meeting times.* **Fee: A course fee applied via SFS bill.
