Catalog description

This class is designed to introduce and educate students about the sport of indoor bouldering. Bouldering is a form of rock climbing that does not use ropes and harnesses but involves shorter falls that are protected with padding. Subject matter will cover a variety of bouldering skills including body kinesthetics, route visualization, problem solving strategies, equipment use, as well as safety practices and protocols specific to indoor bouldering. Each class will consist of a lecture, demonstration and practice components allowing students to learn and practice the skills presented. All necessary gear and equipment will be provided.
