CPR and First Aid

Catalog description
This course provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to obtain CPR and First Aid certification at the level of training completed. Upon successful completion, students will receive official certification cards for both CPR and First Aid. Instruction covers emergency response techniques for infants, children, and adults, including rescue breathing, management of blocked airways (conscious and unconscious), cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), controlling bleeding, and splinting. Class sessions incorporate video demonstrations, lectures, instructor-led demonstrations, partner practice, and skill evaluations. All required equipment, including mannequins, mats, and wraps, is provided by RIT. *Fee: Course fee applied via SFS bill.
