Rhythm and Step

Catalog description
This course introduces students to step-based dance exercise through structured, music-driven choreography. Students will master foundational step patterns and transitions, build cardiovascular stamina with high-energy combinations, and enhance balance, coordination, and footwork. Emphasis is placed on synchronizing movements with rhythm, strengthening the core through targeted step drills, and adding flair with rhythmic variations and choreography. Students will also develop endurance through progressive step sequences, improve posture and body alignment, increase agility with quick directional changes, and enhance flexibility and mobility through dynamic stretching. No prior dance or step experience is required. *Fee: A course fee applied via SFS bill.
