Catalog description

This Beginner Tap class is designed to teach the basic skills of tap dance. Students who have limited or no experience with tap are recommended to enroll in this section. Instruction will include basic steps, shuffles, ball changes, flaps, Maxie Fords, buffalos and turns. Students will gain coordination, rhythm, self-expression, and the art of performance. Classes will include learning various warm ups, followed by a series of steps, which are performed in place and later across the floor, focusing on rhythmical and articulated footwork. *Note: Tap shoes are required.* **Fee: A course fee applied via SFS bill. See Course Notes for course fee information.**
